In October-November of 2014 and in April of 2015, Pat Riehl traveled to Japan with members of the Hardy Fern Foundation and the British Pteridological Society from England, the USA and Australia. From botanizing in the wild to seeing temple gardens, her time in Japan will be the subject of January’s meeting.
Refreshments at 7 pm, program begins at .7:30 pm.
Pat Riehl is a longtime fern fanatic who has traveled widely in search of elusive species. Her garden features one of the largest stumperies in the world, which will be featured in the February 2016 issue of the British garden magazine, Gardens Illustrated.
